DISTINCTIVE AND INNOVATIVE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
VICOSTONE, founded in late 2002, manufactures millions of square meters of engineered quartz products, interior materials for surface products. The company’s products are now available in more than 40 countries with a strong global distributor network, including strict markets such as the united States, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Success from the international market
In September 2003, an advanced artificial paving stone factory was inaugurated and put into production. The first production line of VICOSTONE was built to supply large high-quality paving stones for construction projects in the country. However, new materials and output prices unaffordable for domestic constructions hindered the company’s development. Before this reality, the VICOSTONE leadership decided to steer the ship out to the big sea by taking the VICOSTONE brand to all five continents and live on exports. Since then, VICOSTONE brand has gradually affirmed its position in the international artificial stone market.
To reach the world market, in September 2004, VICOSTONE exported the BQ900-Crystal Salt to Australia at a competitive price through its strategic partner WK Marble & Granite, the company’s first and loyal customer up to now. Since the first shipment 15 years ago, VICOSTONE has grown and affirmed its position as a premium brand, not only in models but also in product quality. The sustainable success in Australia was the premise for VICOSTONE to extend its globalization journey when it officially entered the US market through a number of strategic partners like Pental and Pangea. Since then, the reputation of VICOSTONE in the stone industry spread quickly across Europe, Australia, America and Africa. Even when the Asian market was still a new market and lacked specific orientations for premium quartz, VICOSTONE started to approach the most populous continent in the world with contracts from Singapore, japan and South Korea. As a result, VICOSTONE brand name is present on all five continents.
That success came from the appropriate strategic orientation of the leadership - focusing investment on product quality. VICOSTONE’s products are manufactured under proprietary technology transferred from BRETON S.P.A of Italy in combination with its unique know-how. About 90% of its stone composition is natural quartz, making it more scratch-resistant, absorbent than other types of tiles. Besides, another outstanding feature of VICOSTONE engineered stone is many times higher flexural strength than granite. So, the product is rarely chipped or cracked when it is transported and installed.
Leading the domestic market
VICOSTONE - a Vietnamese brand of Vietnamese intelligence - has reached out to the world to affirm its prestige and world-class quality. In 2017, the company celebrated its 15th anniversary and received the first-class Labor order. VICOSTONE launched a new, uniform brand identity for easier identification of partners, customers and investors. Thereby, VICOSTONE officially returned to the Vietnamese market.
In addition to introducing a new brand identity, VICOSTONE officially launched quartz-based engineered stones, globally successful products, to domestic consumers, targeting the middle and high-class market segment. At the same time, the company has taken the quality and uniqueness of products and services to conquer customers and the domestic market.
Before returning to the domestic market, customers might know VICOSTONE but might not know much about its products. According to the surveys, nearly 2% of people in two big cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, know about VICOSTONE products and brands. Therefore, to increase its product identity to customers, the company invested a lot in marketing to introduce products in Vietnam. By the end of 2018, according to its surveys, its product identity increased to nearly 40%, more than 10 times, in just one year. This illustrated the company’s efforts on the journey to bring its products to domestic and foreign customers. 2018 witnessed many individual customers and projects using VICOSTONE products. Especially, in late 2018 and early 2019, high-class apartment projects increased their use of VICOSTONE products. VICOSTONE is willing to expand its manufacturing network to supply the domestic market and maintain its export markets.
Green, sustainable development
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, General Director of VICOSTONE, said, led by green, sustainable development approach where industrial production, ecological materials and high-tech products are key, and corporate development and environmental protection are aligned, VICOSTONE always endeavors to introduce effective solutions to mitigate environmental impacts by using vegetation-originated Bio-resin, green recyclable and efficient materials; uses natural resources and solar energy, closed circular water treatment technology, reuses non-waste water treated by AAo+MBr technology and invests in solar energy system; applies clean, environment-friendly and energy efficient technology like QCVN 19:2009-standard dust treatment system, QCVN 20:2009-standard styrene gas treatment system to ensure a fresh atmosphere and make the environment green, clean and beautiful.
Development is not only green but also sustainable. At VICOSTONE, sustainable development is based on four core factors: Continuous improvement, scientific research, social responsibility, and human resource development. Currently, the company spends more than 1% of its total revenue for r&D, in which product research and product development is seen as one of the most strategic tasks. In addition, the company always focuses on social responsibility like building houses to sell at preferential prices to employees, building VICOSTONE kindergartens, building and preserving religious sites, supporting new countryside construction work, supporting people affected by floods and building charitable houses.
